There are brains in the Nexus. Little, pulsating brains; brain-shaped, brain-sized, with an appropriate brainload of moisture leaking out of every one.

Around the brains comes a low keening sound. Something pink and red is curled up, at the end of a little trail of these brains, whinging and moaning and apparently bemoaning something.

((since we're all on different time zones, once the fight starts, the order should be thus-

There are a pair of human eyes rolling around in the Nexus.

They flicker and smoke at some points, but most of the time, they bleed. The trail leads to a small shed- empty, and torn apart by someone in a panic.

There's another, thicker trail of blood- which leads to some organic debris in a pool of scummy yellow fluid, the remains of a scalp, certain teeth, skin, the occasional scale.

There, the trails end.

When Hanatarou awakes, he will be in a grand and decaying circular hall. It is lined with pillars, with exits in front and behind him.

Below is a large and ornate carving of... Dates? Hearts? An abstract pattern? It's hard to tell. It's all stone.

There is no light protruding beyond the pillars. The area behind is pitch black, the ceiling is pitch black, the exits are pitch black.

From one exit, there's a loud and constant clatter.

Called in for a breach of security in the Arklay facility. A B.O.W.- some kind of giant snake, infected with the 'tyrant' virus. This is not the same creature that poisoned the gamma platoon.

For once, Umbrella has gifted us with the intelligence it does have.
Discovered in R. forest, escapee from the zoo. Unknown bacterial infection, caused buildups of nervous tissue. Put into the T program by accident. They called it the euKaryotically Augmented Anomaly.
Mutations haven't been gagued because no-one's got close to it.
Preparing the armours et cetera is going to take all day.

Yesterday went... Badly.
Today too. Call from home. Shelley thinks I hate her, because I haven't got her that album.
She's fifteen. I'm with the fucking U.B.C.S., I told her all I could. I shouldn't have to do this and she shouldn't be doing this to me. It's hard enough as it is...

I haven't been getting much sleep. I don't know why not. It's not all that frightening. I've seen more fucked-up things from Arklay than that, even with that stupid thing over its eye. They're calling it 'Wink'. I'll try to describe it.

The beastie's a network of green... Stuff. Cables. It's that long it's off-putting when it moves, it's like a sea. Sometimes the skin's rough, sometimes it's all slick, sometimes there's no skin and you can see its muscles, sometimes it's just mank and filth and rot. Sometimes there are these weird spikes of bone with some meat on them, and I think they moved.
I can't remember.
Its face... I don't know. It's like hash brown one end, alligator the other. Someone nailed a metal plate over the thing's eye- some rumour looking into its eyes turns you to stone. The other eye's giving off coloured shit.

I'm going to try to sleep.
